Job Description

Job Purpose

The role of the job incumbent will be to managing the end-to-end recruitment process including candidate sourcing, screening, carrying out interviews and on boarding


Main Responsibilities

  • Establish a strong relationship with Heads of Department (HODs) to understand their recruitment needs and fill vacancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure clear mutual understanding of recruitment priorities and practical constraints and guide HODs through the recruitment process where needed.
  • Work with heads of departments to develop job descriptions, post advertisements on social media, in newspapers and other recruitment networks.
  • Attending job/graduate fairs to attract the best talent and coordinating all the requirements for the fair ensuring that everything works smoothly
  • Perform candidate search on external databases
  • Review applications, conduct prescreen interviews to analyze candidate experience and fit, coordinate pre-employment tests as needed, and develop a short list of potential candidates.
  • Present fully screened qualified candidates to Heads of Department in a timely manner, organize and carry out interviews.
  • Complete reference check and background checks on selected candidates, as requested.
  • Complete the hiring process by negotiating and making formal offers to candidates
  • Liaise between new hires and HR staff, ensuring submission of all documentation required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or relevant equivalent qualification preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working in-house recruitment, or with a Recruiting agency
