Product Sourcer

The role of the job incumbent will be to identify products and services to support the daily operations of our retail business. He/ She will play an important role in the company’s operations and its growth.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing
  • Develop a sourcing strategy for the introduction of new products that will suit the company’s strategy of growth.
  • Develop a yearly budget depending on sourcing needs
  • Execute the strategy and adjust as per market trend/s
  • Keep abreast of industry and market trends and best practices
• Supplier relationship
  • Develop and manage long term strategies with suppliers to maximize commercial and operational performance in the long term
  • Own and manage supplier selection, qualification, negotiation, and finalization of contracts.
  • Ensure proper contract management is in place regarding quality of product, delivery schedules, compliance to international standards, warranties etc.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and key suppliers

Requirements

• Passionate about discovering new products
• Bachelor’s degree in any business-related field
• Proven track record of identifying, developing, and negotiating with suppliers
• 3 years’ experience as a Sourcing Specialist
• Outstanding negotiation abilities
• Must show industry specific experience
• Demonstrate deep understanding of consumer electronic products or other products
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Great communication, interpersonal and networking skills
• Must be ready to travel abroad
• Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
