Team Leader - Technical (Consumer Electronics)

The job incumbent will be required to efficiently manage the indoor and outdoor departments to ensure that the repairs of consumer electronics and home appliances are carried out within the highest standards of our after sales service. The job incumbent will also have full responsibility for the results of the technical department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, organize, monitor and optimize the work of a team of technicians to complete all assigned repairs within the desired standard
• Prioritize and delegate adequate resources to identified tasks/repairs to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
• Be available to discuss and resolve technical issues with other technical staff as and when necessary
• Ensure that appropriate spare parts are ordered within set deadlines and maintain the minimum required quantities
• Closely monitor the ageing of spare parts
• Keep abreast of key technical developments and innovations within the industry and encouraging team members to do same
• Act as a technical mentor/coach to the team of technicians
• Ensure that team members are achieving their daily KPIs
• Identify training needs of subordinate staff and organize relative training accordingly to develop the technical competence of team members

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electronic / Electrical)
• 3 years’ experience preferably in the repair and maintenance of consumer electronics and home appliances such as mobile phones, laptops, refrigerators, washing machines, cookers, TV and AV and others equipment.

• Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to manage and organize a team of technical staff
• Able to travel overseas for short periods of time
• Holder of a valid driving license
