Electrical Technician

Job Purpose:

• To provide electrical expertise at Distribution, Retail and B2B sites to Group standards by minimising site downtimes and meeting customer expectations at optimal costs including management of external contractors for specialised works.
• To implement all electrical works and electrical maintenance activities on the retail, B2B and Distribution network to ensure that sites presentations, conditions and functionalities are up to Group standards and that they meet customer expectations.
• To effect support on repairs and maintenance on equipment of retail, B2B and Distribution outlets.
• To troubleshoot Solar System and Charging Station System for Electric Car
• To assist in the preparation of Maintenance plan of Safety Critical Equipment
• To manage activities of workshop, organise and plan maintenance of electrical equipment at retail, B2B and Distribution sites.
• To monitor / follow up works carried out by contractors.

Principal accountabilities:

1. To be part of the pump Service staff and to plan and monitor electrical activities so as to ensure reliable and timely maintenance of the retail, B2B and Distribution sites facilities.
2. To organise daily planning of electrical works
3. To effect and ensure repairs and maintenance of all electrical equipment on retail, B2B and Distribution outlets.
4. To effectively manage contractors to ensure that all works are carried out to the required engineering and HSSE standards.
5. To issue Permit to Work in accordance with PTW procedure.
6. To ensure that HSSE policies and procedures are adhered to by the maintenance team and contractors.
7. To coordinate inspections and delivery, expiration of certificates for electrical equipment.
8. To coordinate works with contractors when needed
9. To ensure that CSC maintenance log calls are closed out within assigned time frame

Requirements

• Minimum qualification NTC 3 or equivalent Diploma (Electromechanical/Mechanical/ Electrical)

Or Brevet de technician

• Strong background and experience in electronics, electrical motors and electrical installations (Single and Three phase installations) and electromechanical installations.
• Supervisory skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in team, be proactive, take initiatives and handle pressure
• Analytical, problem-solving
• A valid driving license
• Good written and verbal communication in English and French.
• Computer literate with Microsoft application such as word and excel
