Vivo Energy Mauritius is looking for a Mechanic / Technician to support the Supply and Distribution and Engineering Teams. The Mechanic / Technician will be responsible of the maintenance and repair activities of all Vivo Energy Depots.
Principal Accountabilities
- Lead Samp;D Engineering/Maintenance team in ensuring that depot assets and equipment, including tanks, pipelines, valves, product and fire fighting hoses, pumps and motors, loading arms, fire extinguishers, generators, compressors, etc. are inspected, serviced and maintained as per established Maintenance Plan, in order to ensure their integrity and good running condition.
- Follow up and work with Engineering/Maintenance team to complete daily tasks and accordingly provide timely and regular feedback to Distribution Engineer.
- Maintain close communication with Samp;D supervisors in order to provide proactive Engineering support to their departments.
- Coordinate and follow up works undertaken by contractors in the depot.
- Organise purchase of materials for workshop as and when needed.
- Timely reporting and recording of all faults and malfunctions so as to minimize downtime.
- Carry out and participate in Inspection of sites and trucks
- Ensure all electrical tools and equipment are powered off and breakers switched are off before leaving workshop at end of day.
Requirements
Job Knowledge, Skills amp; Experience and Profile
- Holder of a Brevet de Technicien or equivalent from a recognised Technical Institute
- Experience and knowledge in mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment and systems
- Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Good interpersonal, leadership, communication and supervisory skills
- Analytical amp; problem solving skills
- Demonstrate sound work ethics
- Ability to work under pressure
- Petroleum Industry experience would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of IT tools
