Director of Finance

We are looking for a Financial Director to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of strategy, policies and procedures for the back-of-house function of the company. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about corporate financial performance, and is looking to grow into a leadership role.

This position requires that the successful applicant reside in or be willing to relocate to Mauritius upon employment.

• Work directly with the CEO on company strategy amp; financials;
• Manage amp; oversee all accounting, payments amp; billing processes;
• Manage amp; control budgets;
• Produce management and financial reporting to inform key business decisions;
• Develop models amp; forecasts in line with key strategic initiatives;
• Track, interpret amp; publish insights, statistics amp; financial data across the business;
• Oversee amp; implement efficient KYC processes;
• Liaise with banks and management company;
• Ensure the accuracy amp; reliability of accounting software amp; automations;
• Interface with customers where necessary to ensure timely payment collection;
• Influence supplier amp; customer contracts to improve cashflow amp; asset usage;
• Produce and interpret financial reports, stats and insights across the business;
• Ensure compliance with international tax amp; FSC requirements;
• Liaise with legal amp; tax experts;
• Participate across corporate structure, legal and contracting

Requirements

You are likely to be a suitable candidate for this role if you have the following:

• Strong experience in a similar finance role;
• Evidence of exceptional organisational ability;
• An internationally recognised accounting qualification;
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures;
• Experience producing and interpreting financial information;
• Strong understanding of yourself and your place in the world;
• Intention to add value to the lives of others in the work you do;
• A detail-oriented mindset and demonstrable administrative skills;
• Evidence of strong networking and communication skills;
• Passion for education and online learning;
• Intention to develop strong, authentic bonds with your colleagues;
• Experience in the e-learning sector is preferred;
• Willingness to travel internationally for work.
